Crafted from 100% upcycled cotton Kantha fabrics from the 1970s, this midnight jacket is a one-of-a-kind piece rooted in textile history and slow craftsmanship. The rich plum cotton base carries a naturally aged texture, giving the jacket depth, character, and a worn-in vintage feel.
A handwoven textile panel runs along the front opening and around the hem, adding contrast, detail, and movement to the silhouette. The back features a carefully placed hand-embroidered patch made in Gujarat, known as Jat embroidery. This specific form of embroidery is an endangered art form, practised by only a few families in the region.
Finished with visible stitch details and subtle imperfections that celebrate its handmade nature, this jacket blends heritage fabric, traditional craft techniques, and contemporary streetwear design.
